Beyond the FUKEI, “六甲ミーツ・アート芸術散歩 2023 beyond”

誰かがSNSにアップしたこの場所の風景を、目の端でとらえる誰か。実際にこの山の上まで足を運び、この場所に在る風景を目の当たりにする誰か。あたかも解像度を低く（粗く）したドット画のようでもあるこの作品が、生地や絵の具、湿気や過酷な天候などのリアルを孕み向こうにある風景を示唆するとき、人はどれほどの感覚を活性化させ得るだろうか。

「風景のなかから色を抜き出す」という一点にフォーカスして、六甲山頂駅から見渡す風景を色のドットに置き換えた。風景画の要素を分解し極限までシンプルにすることで、作品自体で起こる現象はとても些細なものとなるが、だからこそ観賞者の感受性を引きだす時間と空間を創りだせるのではないかと考えている。

わたしはそうして、作品のそこにある意味や観賞者自身の美の感覚、向こう側を想像する能力を観賞者に思い出させ、この世界を豊かに捉えなおす手助けをする、ある種のトリガーまたは装置として自身の作品を機能させられればと願っている。

Someone who sees the landscape of this place out of the corner of their eye, as uploaded by someone else on a social networking site. Someone who actually comes to the top of this mountain and sees the landscape that exists here. How many senses can be activated when this work, which looks like a low resolution dot painting, suggests a landscape that lies beyond, filled with the reality of fabric, paint, humidity and harsh weather?

Focusing on the single point of 'extracting colour from the landscape', I replaced the landscape seen from the Rokko Sancho station with dots of colour. By breaking down the elements of landscape painting and simplifying them to the extreme, the phenomena that occur in the work itself become very trivial, but I believe that this is why I can create a time and space that draws out the viewer's sensitivity.

I hope that in this way my work can act as a kind of trigger or device to remind viewers of the meaning of the work, their own sense of beauty and their ability to imagine the other side, and help them to understand this world in a richer way.
