《物語るテーブルランナー in こころの森｜Storytelling Table Runner in Kokoro Forest》

弓指寛治は、1986年三重県生まれ、東京都を拠点に活動するアーティストです。「出来事」、「自死」、「慰霊」などをテーマに、独自のリサーチを重ね、そこから作品を作り上げていきます。
今回弓指は、石巻南浜津波復興祈念公園の植樹に参加し、その活動の中で、植樹活動の拠点であるこころの森ガーデンカフェに展示をすることになりました。
「『物語るテーブルランナー』とは鴻池朋子さんが2014年頃から始めたプロジェクトで、今回、そのバトンを受け取り、石巻でもリレーします」（弓指寛治）

Kanji Yumisashi is a Tokyo-based artist born in 1986 in Mie Prefecture. He creates works based on original research into events, suicide, and memorials. Participating in a tree-planting project at Ishinomaki Minamihama Tsunami Memorial Park eventually led him to exhibit his work at Kokoro Forest Garden Cafe, the base for the tree-planting initiative.
“I made drawings on paper out of the different stories I had heard from people living in the Ishinomaki area, and then created handmade place mats with those drawings. The stories include the memories of the disaster and from before the disaster, as well as of delicate and intriguing subjects.” (Kanji Yumisashi)

1986年三重県出身。東京都を拠点に活動。 Born in Mie Prefecture in 1986. Tokyo base. 「自死」や「慰霊」をテーマに創作を続ける。名古屋学芸大学大学院修了後、学生時代の友人と名古屋で映像制作会社を起業。代表辞任後上京、ゲンロンカオス*ラウンジ新芸術校の第一期生として学んでいた2015年に、交通事故後で心身のバランスを崩していた母親が自死。出棺前に「金環を持った鳥のモチーフ」が浮かび、以後制作される多くの作品で繰り返し登場する彼の表現の核となっている。2021年より「満洲国」を軸に過去の戦争について考えるためのプロジェクトを開始。 Continue to create with the themes of "suicide" and "consolation". After graduating from Nagoya University of Arts and Sciences, he started a video production company in Nagoya with his student friends. After resigning as a representative, he moved to Tokyo, and in 2015, when he was studying as the first student of Genron Chaos * Lounge New Art School, his mother, who had lost his physical and mental balance after a traffic accident, died on his own. A "bird motif with a ring" emerged before the casket, and it is the core of his expression that appears repeatedly in many subsequent works. From 2021, a project to think about past wars centered on "Manchuria" was started.
