平田 尚也

空間、時間、物理性をテーマにネットから収集してきた既成の3Dモデルや画像などを素材とし、主にアッサンブラージュ（寄せ集め）の手法でpcのバーチャルスペースに構築した仮想の彫刻作品を発表。仮像を用いることによって新たな秩序の中で存在するもう一つのリアリティを体現し、ありえるかもしれない世界の別バージョンをいくつも試すことによって現実の事物間の関係性を問い直す。また、彫刻史の現代的な解釈を考察する。近年の主な展覧会に、「∃, Parallels, Invulnerability」（トーキョーアーツアンドスペース本郷、2018）、「不完全な監獄」（ガーディアン・ガーデン、2019）。主な受賞歴に「第18回グラフィック『1_WALL展』」グランプリ、「群馬青年ビエンナーレ2019」 ガトーフェスタ ハラダ賞などがある。


Naoya Hirata
Born in Nagano Prefecture in 1991. In 2014, Hirata graduated from the Department of Sculpture, College of Art and Design at Musashino Art University. With space, time, and physicalness as his theme, he creates virtual sculptures that are composed in the virtual space of a PC by the method of Assemblage, using ready-made 3D models and images collected on the Internet as materials. With virtual images, he gives concrete form to another reality that exists in the novel system, and by experimenting with different versions of the world that may exist, he reexamines the relationships of real things. In addition, he explores the contemporary interpretation of the history of sculpture. His recent exhibitions include ∃, Parallels, Invulnerability (Tokyo Arts and Space Hongo, 2018) and Fukanzen Na Kangoku [An Imperfect Prison] (Guardian Garden, 2019). He has received awards such as Grand Prize for the 18th “1_WALL” Graphics Competition (2018) and Gateau Festa Harada Prize for the Gunma Biennale for Young Artists 2019.
