ステートメント
日本民俗学で表現される「マレビト」の神聖、畏れ、愛着が同時に存在する現象にインスパイアを受けた後、そこから派生する、特撮映画や幼い頃から親しんだアニメ、日本サブカルチャーにマレビトとの共通点を見出す。
その発見を交えながら自身の美術表現として、現代に生きる人間像、コミュニケーションの形の再認識を試みた「異物との遭遇」をテーマに表現を続けている。
