<Story of the work>

It gives a ray of light to a field of vision that is completely dark and nothing can be seen. I want to be someone who doesn't miss it, even if it's a bad spark due to an accident.
Their hurt presence, which has become difficult to be reflected in our field of vision, is a “messenger (messenger)” for us.

Junior at Tokyo University of the Art

“The fear of ‘not understanding anything’ makes me terrified, so I want to expose and uncover the ‘you’ standing right in front of me.”
This raw mixture of fear and desire toward genuine, life-sized communication is the root of my creative concept.
In my practice, while continuing to create works that deal with macro perspectives on society and the times, I have also begun to work on pieces that take my own extremely personal experiences and emotions as their motifs.
For example, just as both the time I spend time outside connecting with society and the time I return home to be alone in my room lost in thought are equally indispensable to me, in my creative process I feel like I’m constantly moving back and forth between micro and macro viewpoints. I feel that these different scales have recently begun to coexist naturally within me.
