Works that won the 2021 “8th Yamamoto Kanae Printmaking Awards” Excellence Award

I draw everyday landscape photos that I take casually in my daily life using drawing software on my tablet and develop them into printmaking works.

When I find a composition I like, such as composition or color balance, I release the shutter for the photos I take every day.

When developing from a photograph to a drawing, the outline of the motif and the shape of the shadow are simplified, and the color surfaces are combined and expressed like a puzzle.

Rethink the colors on the surface that are combined like a puzzle one by one, and give them all different colors. Therefore, the number of editions and colors of my work is about 60 to 100, respectively.

This work is produced using 36 versions and 65 colors.

The cat that often appears in my work is a cat I keep in my home where I live alone, and I always have this cat in my everyday life.

Nao-chan in the title is the name of the girl who appears in the film, and she is a friend I got along well with when I was a student.

I created this work based on photographs taken on the day Nao-chan first came to see Mint.

1. Sheet work 80,000 yen

2. Framed work 150,000 yen

　→The price for this work is a custom-made price. Due to the frame shop's circumstances, there is a risk that it will take longer than the stated period from order to shipment of the work. Please be aware in advance.

3. Acrylic board 90,000 yen
