Work Details
While I was taking a walk, I found a decayed tree. Originally, it was a natural tree that took root well in the earth, branched out, and had many leaves.
Now, much of it has decayed, and only some parts remain small.
The lacquer I usually handle is a sap that oozes out when lacquer wood is scratched to heal that wound.
In other words, lacquer has healing powers.
So, I thought about restoring the decayed part of the tree that would have existed before, using only lacquer.
The sap, which would have been flowing vividly, was expressed with green and colorless glass.
The lacquer part does not use core materials such as wood or cloth, and is made only of lacquer. Lacquer is applied at least 25 times to increase the thickness of the lacquer.
Glass shards were embedded in the lacquer.

May every individual's daily life be filled with moments of prosperity.
Since ancient times in Japan, lacquer has supported and enriched our lives. It possesses a stunning and dignified beauty that leaves a lasting impression. The enchanting, deep black luster and glossy brilliance are unique characteristics of lacquer.
On the other hand, lacquer also embodies the gentleness of nature. Its soft texture gently envelops the hearts of those who touch it.
The timeless beauty and gentle nature of lacquer have been cherished for centuries. I invite you to experience both of these qualities and discover the enchanting charm of lacquer.
To achieve this, I fully immerse myself in the world of lacquer every day.
