Work Details
I have created my work on the theme of “an uncertain world full of overwhelming power, and an uncertain world that can never be grasped, and one's own existence, life, and natural activity that can certainly be felt within it.”
That axis hasn't changed even now, but since I had an experience where my existence felt extremely vague, my
2022 solo exhibition focused on “existence and boundaries as individuals” and “being able to touch and touch” them.
“Touching something also means being touched, and it's an act of confirming each other.
It's the same for people, other living things, and I think it's an act of knowing not only the physical meaning, but also about oneself and other beings.
Also, at the same time, the outline of our existence is formed not only by our physical form, but also by our mental state and the extent to which all senses extend, etc., and that boundary may be constantly changing. ”
One of the works presented at that solo exhibition was “Buddy.”
The dog and child are quietly snuggling up. As friends, family, and friends, they confirm and support each other more deeply by snuggling up and touching each other.
