Concept and Intention of the Artwork
The natural resin used in this series is a blend of colophonium, a pine resin traditionally used in Italian wax casting, and epoxy resin. This material exploration began as an attempt to reunite wood and resin, two substances that once coexisted as parts of a tree. This is the first experiment with a common "container" shape.
Production Methods and Tools
The cup is formed using a spinning wheel, after which the two resins are mixed and left to harden.

Artist
Sculptor
A Japanese contemporary artist based in Rome, I work with wood, resin, and other materials. Having been raised between Italy and Japan, my art explores themes of personal identity. I believe that art has the power to transcend dualism, helping us discover our true selves—not shaped by contradictions, but by a unified, universal reality.
