Work Details
Banknotes melt in an instant, but iron doesn't either. I was hit by the rain before and passed in front of a crackling bill. It looked like it was about to tear and shatter even now, but it is the highest-ranking banknote in this country. I usually work with iron. I instantly contrasted this crackle bill with iron that was many times larger and heavier in my head.
Assuming a 1.2 mm iron plate of 3 kg, 914 mm x 434 mm is the size of a bill equally multiplied. A 160 mm x 76 mm piece of paper is worth 10,000 yen in this country,
This scrap of iron, which is about 5 times larger, is worth 150 yen as of September 2022 when purchased as a scrap item. However, it is possible that this phenomenon of running out of iron exceeding 10,000 yen will occur in this capitalist nation of Japan. I usually work with iron. The price of iron has soared due to the recent epidemic. The price of iron seems to be an exchange rate, and there are daily movements. That is probably the case with what is called a work of art. Scrap buyers value this work at 150 yen.
However, if people change, it may be 150,000 yen, which is 1000 times higher. That goes for all items. It seems like it was cheap here and expensive over there. All I can say, the bottom line is that humans attach value to everything. It's also different from person to person. I spelled out in iron for a long time something that is taken for granted in this human society and is also troublesome. Why am I expressing it with iron? My grandfather worked with iron since I was born, and for me, the substance called iron was part of my life. I'm not talking about the value there; it's something I can't explain.
