作品のコンセプト
TURNER AWARD2021入賞作品です。
木製パネルに水色を敷いて、白で点を打った、シンプルな絵です。生活をしているリビングのテーブルで、テレビやYouTubeを見ながら描きました。集中して描いたというより、ながら作業で、わたしが落ち着く行為をしました。
でも、絵の完成させる終盤は、絵と距離をとって、加筆しました。最後の点を打ったとき、この絵が自律したことがすぐに分かりました。身近なところにあったのに、その瞬間には、もう遠いところにありました。
作品秘話
テレビやYouTubeを見ながら、酒も飲んでました笑。ごめんなさい。完成させる終盤は飲んでません。
