映像の一瞬を切り取るように、登場人物の状況から心情までを高い画力で描き出す萩原亜美。総合芸術である映画を幼い頃から愛してきた彼女は、“絵画の中で映画を撮ろうと考えた”という。特に近年は、ストーリーボード形式に沿って画中に描かれる場面のシナリオや、登場人物のバックボーンまでも綿密に設定し制作をしている。これにより、映画のワンシーン・映像表現を彷彿とするドラマティックな描写が可能になった。
