In my work I make things of reality into images by converting them. I believe that by basing expressions on personal experiences and memories, the emotions at the event of the experience can be communicated nonverbally to the viewer. I express relationships through packing the existences that differ between countries and regions, such as language, religion and race, into a screen.

Liao Yuan Yi is an artist who contemplates the relationship between communication and drawing. His drawings use expressions of embroidery in order to homogenise time and image. This is a depiction of the self, others and society as a whole. The screen has a surreal and story-like side, with examples of decapitated heads lined up and being carried, and things that suggest the inside of bodies. They may seem like a series. The reason why heads and body parts appear as motifs is probably because he studied sculpture in his home country. We should look closer at how Yi observes other humans, and how he reconstructs the relationships by using body parts and treating them as objects.
