Foot Books is an independent publisher specializing in contemporary drawing, artists’ books and zines. Based in Oslo, Norway and Leipzig, Germany.

Foot Books is a publisher focusing on contemporary drawing, mainly trough publishing artist’s zines. Trough a curated selection of norwegian and international drawers, Foot Books aims to be a platform to showcase young norwegian drawers to an international audience, as well as introducing a selection of international drawers to a norwegian audience. Our goal is to include a mix of established and unestablished artists, from fine arts, illustration, design, architecture and other fields or practices that centers around drawing. Every zine is in an A5 format, 16-32 pages, black printing on colored paper, and is protected by a dust pocket. Foot Books was started by graphic designer Martin Asbjørnsen and artist and illustrator Erlend Peder Kvam atumn 2020. Today (06.10.23) they have published 40 zines and two books, under the imprint ‘Big Foot’. Since 2021, Foot Books has been a split city project based between Oslo, Norway and Leipzig, Germany.
