作品解説
ファストファッション産業が引き起こす大量の廃棄物に注目し廃棄となった服の特性をアート作品としてより多く展開することを目的としています。
ファストファッションは、安さに特化することで薄生地、質が悪い生地が使われているため、数回の着用で型崩れを起こしたりしているものが多くあります。 オブザベーションを通して、使用後型崩れした部分の生地が盛り上がり、服が空気を纏い、布を纏う石膏像のような表現に見える特性に気づきました。
この特性を活かして、その形状を保ったまま固めて、石膏彫刻のような半立体作品のアート作品を制作することにしました。
