Statement
There are times when I am usually skeptical about the existence of things and people, and I sometimes wonder if that thing really exists or if what I see now is certain. A casual landscape “exists” in this world for the first time when I am aware of what I see, and there is a feeling that the landscape I am not conscious of seeing is vague and continues to change even now.
I capture these objects with “lines” and simplify them. I believe that capturing shapes and light that should not have existed originally with “lines” is a trace of the act of giving boundaries with my own hands and trying to make them exist as “certain things.”
Also, the very act of “drawing” is important to me. I feel that drawing is an act of taking in an object within oneself, chewing it, visualizing the “memory” seen at that time, and connecting it to that “existence.”
