Artist
Painter of traces of sound
Born in 1990 in Kumamoto. Lives and works in Kumamoto. Her childhood fainting triggered her to have synesthesia to perceive sound as color and form.Since then, he has continued his work centered on abstract paintings based on his unique sense of translating sound into color and shape.I am interested in sounds that disappear unless people are aware, such as human voices, natural sounds, heartbeat, breathing, etc., and depicts memories and traces of existence left by those sounds. The masterpiece “TRACE” expresses traces and reverberations left by human voices and presence, and “NOISE” expresses the process by which sound disappears. While being influenced by ancient Japanese views of color and spiritual culture, they are currently working on the main themes of sounds made by humans and the view of life and death. The work contains dragon characters in fragments, and layers of sound, memory, and prayer are superimposed on the screen.
