This work “Influencer” is part of a series of works on the theme of “invisible faces” in the information society, with the motif of non-woven masks established in everyday life after the spread of infectious diseases.
The smile depicted on the mask is not an emotion itself, but is placed as a symbol of the facial expression requested by the occasion.
The face is covered, and actual facial expressions and individuality cannot be determined, and only a smile attached to the outside functions.
The slightly rising polka dot pattern in the background is reminiscent of a virus and at the same time suggests countless information particles that are being spread.
Infections and information similarly spread while remaining invisible, affecting individual judgments and feelings.
By developing multiple points around a common element called a mask that covers the face, this series assumes a structure that creates the difficulties of modern life swayed by information and unable to touch the truth (face) as a whole space.
