SHIORI YOSHIDA

Born in Nagasaki.
After graduating from Joshibi University of Art and Design, majoring in Western painting, he began working at The Shanghai Art Fair.
Her older sister's death, which she experienced as a child, and peace education that was actively carried out in Nagasaki, where the atomic bomb was dropped, she intensely inquired about “life” and “death.”
In 2017, as an artist born in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the work “Claudia,” which depicts a girl hiding her face with the symbol mark of a nuclear weapon, was added to the Benetton Foundation's collection.
Contradictory events and feelings that humans have, such as life and death, love and hate, are incorporated into the work, and the truth that is born beyond that is pursued.
Representative works include pictures of an emotionless girl with her face and clothes painted over, and pictures of skulls and plants representing substances that have lost their lives and those living in the present.
