Work Details
Shikisaisha will hold a solo exhibition “Hoshino Katachi” by Yuji Kanamaru. This exhibition is a new development in a series of three-dimensional works that have been presented continuously since 2011. The motifs depicted in the flat world appear in the actual space, making the work more familiar and felt as a work with a strong presence.

Yuji kanamaru (b. 1978, Kanagawa, Japan) graduated from the Department of Design at Tokyo University of the Arts in 2003.
During his studies, he was influenced by Masataka Oyabu and Chinami Nakajima, two leading figures in Japanese painting, while developing an independent approach to pictorial expression grounded in that tradition.
