Work Details
The individual diamond-shaped piece are named "bit" and can be viewed individually, collectively, or from different viewpoint.
In this piece, nine 45cm x 30cm diamond shapes are arranged to form a larger 155cm x 110cm diamond shape.
I wanted to express the idea that each world is independent, but that there are other similar worlds out there, and that by learning about them, the scale of the world expands.
Also, by created a three-dimensional form, I tried to convey the message that the world itself can be seen in various ways by changing the angle.
This piece is to be combined with two more piece to form another piece.
Thinked about my inner world in the face series so far, and thinked about the world around mine in the space series, And Inside, outside, individual, all, etc., some clue of expression was found and led to this series.
