It’s an old pathway, yet it shows no sign of drying up.

It is said that there are underground water veins around here.
Early in the morning when it was foggy, something big, like smoke, seems to pass through here and back to the mountains.

Artist
Contemporary Japanese-Style Painting
Naomi Nishizawa creates “The Tale of the Second Moon,” a narrative born from her unique imagination.
She is a contemporary artist celebrated for her radiant and intricate compositions employing gold and metallic leaf. Rooted in the traditions of Japanese painting, she fuses diverse materials such as handmade washi paper, oil-based resin, and phosphorescent pigments to create a singular visual world.
Within her semi-abstract works, quiet imagined scenes are gently interwoven. These softly spun visions evoke moments from fairy tales and mythology, inviting viewers into a poetic narrative realm. Shimmering, reflective, and glowing materials function not only as decorative elements but also as gateways to dreamlike, multilayered worlds.
Since 2019, Nishizawa has exhibited in Japan and internationally, including Paris, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Jakarta, steadily expanding her global recognition and acclaim. She was born in Tokyo, where she lives and works.
