Artist information
Isao Uemae
Born in 1985 in Nishinomiya, Hyogo. After graduating from the Glass Craft Course at Osaka University of Arts in 2008, he was a part-time assistant at the same university. Since 2014, while teaching at a private high school art department on a part-time basis, he has cooperated with other artists and companies, and created many works for architectural spaces such as luxury hotels and condominiums. I have been working as a specialist at Kanazawa Utatsuyama Craft Workshop since 2016. “Gaze” is one concept word, and the motif or title is an object that people continue to direct their “gaze” beyond time or place. Currently produced in Hyogo and Ishikawa prefectures.
