Everyday

「毎日」という日々の繰り返しをどのように捉えるかという問いを投げかけるシリーズです。日々の暮らしの中にあるオブジェクトを少し違う角度から見ることで、何かを感じたり考えたりするきっかけになって欲しいと願っています。

普通の日々をどう見つめるかで世界は変わっていく。普通なことは常に退屈である必要はないだろう。

いくつかの作品は私自身の短いエピソードを含みますが見る側にとっては関係なく、「あなたを考えさせる、感じさせる」というのが私の作品のもつ唯一のファンクションです。

「毎日」という言葉を考えると、繰り返しのイメージを思い起こす。毎朝シャワーを浴びて、仕事の後に飲みに行き、自転車をこいで家に帰る。生活の中の普通のものたちが毎日を作る。日々の暮らし。

僕はこの繰り返しが好きだ。

日々を重ねることで、レンガを重ねるように日常生活を作る。僕たちはそこから想像力を引き出せるに違いない。

例えば、フォークを使うように想像力を使ってみてほしい。

料理をするように何かを考えてみてほしい。

僕らの、暮らしへのレスポンスはそうあるべきだと思うのです。

Studied silversmithing and metal work at University Of The Arts London, Camberwell College, expressing themselves in the form of contemporary crafts. His work involves creating pieces that encourage people to think in slightly different directions about what they see with everyday objects around them. Studied silversmithing and metalworking at Camberwell College of Arts, University of the Arts London, and expressed his work in the form of contemporary crafts. He creates pieces that inspire people to think in slightly different ways about what they see with everyday objects around them. Participated in exhibitions in London and Munich. After returning to Japan, he worked at a semiconductor company as an administrative and translation specialist, handling tasks such as translating technical documents and creating press releases. During this time, their creative activities were temporarily put on hold. In 2019, he resumed his creative work, producing and exhibiting contemporary art without being confined to specific materials or genres.

一枚の板が、コップのアフォーダンスを変えてしまっている。温かいスープを入れたであろうマグカップは分断され、冷たい飲み物の入ったタンブラーに見えてくる。それでも、板に開いた三日月状の穴が、取っ手の存在をほのめかす。裏から見れば、孤独な取っ手が主から独立して歩き出す。
