Work Details
Concept and production intention of the work
The concept is to convey the appeal and commonalities of illustration, anime, hip-hop, and graffiti with my own expressions using techniques inspired by sampling musical techniques, where drawings and images are layered using stencils.
What I wanted to express in this work
I drew it thinking it would be nice if I could create an expression that combines graffiti and illustration by layering the texture of the stencil with the drawing.
This time, I chose black and white so that the stencils would shine.

It's pretty much the same, but the girl, Dennou ☆, which is structured by connecting images like sampling, is an image of an internet feeling, or a bit dull unique to that kind of culture.

私は、写真や画像データをステンシル（型）というフィルタに通すことで発生する「情報の欠落」と、それによって物質が変容する瞬間に着目している。
ステンシルを使って日常的な野菜が白黒のインクの塊になることで得体の知れない物体のように見えたり、アニメフィギュアがアニメの姿そのままには写らず、3次元になったことによるその物特有の見え方をするはずである。この「情報の密度の差による認識のずれ」は情報が2次元から3次元、3次元から2次元のように情報を削るか、情報を足して次元を跨いだとき、認識にズレが生じて起きていると考えている。
この平面性と立体の境目を絵の中で行き来して、同一画面上で衝突させたり融合させたりする「複合的なレンダリング（出力）」をするような作品を目指している。
