Work Details
One afternoon in front of the train station, I saw a young man smoking his cigarette and whispering die die die… I thought, “This guy is mentally sick!” And also I thought, “What a difficult world we live in!”.
I accepted his whispers as a voice of protest against society, and created this series of artworks.
The morning Dawn is strange, it’s always the same sun, but the color is entirely different by the place, air temperature, weather, etc. The same way we are in each different place in this world and we are living each person’s life with different happiness and troubles.
We feel healed and encouraged when we see the morning dawn. I hope people who saw this work will feel like being cheered up like when people see the morning dawn.

What I wanted to express through this work
Around the time this series was born, I started noticing more irritable people around town and felt the world's atmosphere gradually worsening. At the same time, I fundamentally believe in the doctrine of innate goodness—that people are inherently kind.
However, I also realized that people are influenced by their environment. Those irritable souls I saw out and about might just be temporarily unhappy due to various factors, like ending up at a black company.
So, with the intention of offering encouragement to such people, I created this “Morning Down” series, envisioning the moment of sunrise that arrives equally for everyone around the world every single day.
