“I thought that would be fine if my mother, who now lives in a different world, could be at peace and like an innocent girl. But when I looked back for just a moment, I had eyes with my mother who was vaguely looking at me at the front door. Suddenly, I nodded loudly, and my mother started running towards me. I also ran up and hugged my mother. The next moment, my mother had gone back to being a little girl. But I'm still inside my mother. As a small fragment of a beautiful memory floating in the world she lives in.”

Shortly before I drew this work, my mother temporarily lost her memory. It seemed like I had completely disappeared from my mother's head, who had become like a little girl, even when she was by my side, no longer turning around or being called by her name.

Nevertheless, at one point, I felt that I could see a reflection of myself for a moment in her casual expressions and gestures. It is a work drawn in the hope that the vague and fuzzy fragments of memories that unfold in her head, which she can only imagine, will be something calm and beautiful that brings peace to her heart.
