It will soon become an ocean #5

This work became the main visual for the solo exhibition “It Will Soon Become an Ocean” held in April 2025.

A large river flowed near my workplace. Before going to work, I go to a nearby river and take a 1-minute video with my smartphone. It's a daily routine I've been doing for about 5 years.
If I think about it now, maybe I was shooting to find differences in a similar everyday life.
The blue surface of the water shines brightly on a clear day, waves that turn silver on a cloudy day, waterfowl whose name is unknown, sometimes objects lost by someone float, and sometimes dead fish flow through. Nothing wrong, just a moment's fragmentary event. It was like a memory I would forget someday, and it seemed similar to my photography.

How long will I be able to remember today?
While thinking about such things, I'm taking pictures as if picking up memories that are overflowing.
Things I remember, things I can't forget, things I've forgotten. It would be nice if I could take a picture that shines brightly and looks like water heading to the ocean.
