Work Details
京都五山の禅寺：建仁寺で見た斜めに力強く伸びるもちの木に釘付けになり、思わず写真を撮った。聞けば歴代4代の建仁寺館長が大事に育て200年生きたと言う。残念ながら数年前の積雪で倒れ、今は切り株だけが残っている。作品にして建仁寺に奉納をした。

アーティスト、京都大学大学院総合生存学館アートイノベーション産学共同講座教授、シンガポール国立大学客員教授、東京大学大学院工学系研究科にて芸術 とテクノロジー研究で工学の博士号を取得。感情・意識・物語・民族性といった人間が歴史の中で行為や文法などの形で蓄えてきた文化を、インタラクティブに表現し、心で感じるインターフェース「カルチュラル・コンピューティング」を提唱し、作品制作、研究を行う。著書「カルチュラル・コンピューティング」NTT出版を参照。
