Self-Portrait [Eating “Caravaggio's basket of fruit”.]

My name is Ayaka Torimoto. I use oil paints to paint two-dimensional works. Instead of using ready-made canvases, I start by stretching linen over wooden panels and applying an original primer to create the canvas.
The children I draw are filled with my desire to be a hope for people. Therefore, each child I depict has a story and lives in my world.
The characteristic eyes are based on those of farm animals such as cows and sheep. The human eye tells more stories than the mouth can. In comparison, non-human animals have deep eyes that are solemnly kind and accepting of all things. On the other side of the coin, they also have eyes that are not always clear about what they are thinking. I am strongly attracted to such eyes.
