Born in 1993. Lotta, who was self-taught, began full-scale activities as an artist based in Tokyo in 2017. Initially, it was created using the technique of ink painting. Currently, I mainly produce line paintings and acrylic paintings. The group of works depicting the original character “Socks (Socks)” of Ghost Cat (cat ghost), created in 2020, embodies the stories of characters living within Lotta's brain, and is sometimes also a self-portrait projecting Lotta herself.
The Japanese “Kawaii” is also a source of inspiration with moving backgrounds and characters that value a slightly different cuteness, a positive atmosphere, handwriting, and a sense of analogy.
“Socks the Ghost Cat (commonly known as socks),” which is the representative character of my work, was born in 2021, and my main style is acrylic painting, which is simple and has little amount of information, as mainstream. Various stories are hidden in the background of the picture, and I try to create thoughtful works that make you feel some kind of foreshadowing. From now on, I'm not limited to just painting, but I'm also working on creating works (videos, games, etc.) with movement.
