Work Details
I drew about images that come to mind when people recognize everything. I would like to express the moment when various images and symbols come to mind as paintings.
Holes are images that often appear in my paintings as pores, and I paint them as a medium connecting the inside and outside. I tried to imagine a bird that is a symbol of freedom in the outside world from within as an image. The world reflected in one's own brain is also a world created by the brain, which is shaped by visual electrical signals. When that happens, no one knows how it appears, right?
I'm interested in “perception.”
When I was in elementary school science class, I was surprised to hear the story “I can't see myself for the rest of my life.” It was then that I first became interested in my own perception. It means I can't get outside of my body. I understood that for the first time. Since the world is shaped from one's own perception, it is extremely vague. The body is a substance that flows and changes every day. Memories are material. I'm interested in the differences in how to grasp things when looking and when not visible, and how memories are stored.
I have had dreams I've had over and over since I was little. It's a dream where a rock so big that you can look up at a place like a rough desert is standing right in front of you. As an adult, I understood that the image I touched with my tongue in my mouth was that scene. It is not an act of “seeing with your eyes,” but the way a landscape is formed as an image with tactile senses other than sight is very strange, and I wanted to know the mechanism. I would like to express not only sight but also processes understood by hands, feet, organs, etc. as if post-impressionist artists such as Cezanne and Black were breaking down and trying to grasp the process of seeing and understanding with the eyes.

Artist
painters
When I was young, I aimed to be a stage actor, but I was not good at acting because I was worried about body perception. He fell in love with art at a painting institute he started as a hobby and decided to take the art university entrance exam. Graduated from Musashino Art University, majoring in printmaking. Currently living in Chiba. Interest in rice paddies, soil fiddling, and perception increases all at once during pregnancy. I have resumed my artist activities, which I had been on hiatus for a while since 2020.
