Biography

The stuffed animals here aren't just “cute.”
What I want to draw is an irregular form of love hidden in close human relationships.
The stuffed animal is like a projection of myself. What appears here is something I have cherished since childhood without being abandoned by myself. Their existence shows the trauma of childhood that never goes away and myself not being able to fully become an adult.

“The more you love stuffed animals, the more they wear out and wear out your body. Focusing on the ironic structure of “The More You Love, the More You'll Hurt,” it depicts clumsy love through stuffed animals. I think this structure also occurs frequently in familiar human relationships and society. By carefully drawing every detail with oil paint, even the texture, dirt, and scratches of stuffed animals, it shows traces that these stuffed animals have been loved and damaged at the same time. There, not only superficial, but also a vivid, distorted form of love comes to light. My work is about cute stuffed animals and somewhat disturbing themes.
