Narisada Yukasa

Artist

Born in 1998. Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School of Fine Arts, majoring in architecture in 2024. Architecture/image/photography are thought and expressed as main areas, such as “House of the Missing (Missing Ghost House)” (2024), which is based on decommissioned nuclear reactors and the nuclear colonialism behind them, and “Hong Kong Reverse Transplantation” (2021), which envisions a memorial space against lost history. Major exhibitions include “Ground Zero” (2023/Kyoto) and “I Can't (Maybe) Me” (2022/Kyoto/Tokyo) as selected projects for the Kyoto Art Center Co-Program 2023.

Born in Kanagawa in 1998. Completed the Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School of Fine Arts, Department of Architecture in 2024. She works mainly in architecture, photography, and video. “Radioactive Ghost House” (2024), based on the nuclear colonialism behind the nuclear reactor that was decommissioned at the Hanford Site, won the Grand Prix at the “Tokyo Architecture Collection 2024,” and also received the first prize at the “22nd JIA Graduate School Master's Design Exhibition 2024.” “Hong Kong Reverse Transplantation” (2021), which is a graduation work in 2021 and envisions a memorial space for lost history, received many awards including second prize in the “Sendai Design League 2021”

She is also planning herself, and in 2022 they will hold an exhibition “My Bodily Timidity” based on the essay “Throwing Like a Girl” by Iris Marion Young at The 5th Floor in Tokyo and VOU Gallery in Kyoto. Also, in 2024, it was selected for the YAU CENTER public offering project as the publishing project “Tabula Press,” which she herself co-represents, and “Living Room by Tabula Press” will be held.
