Kenta Toda

Born in 1996. He learned sneaker production techniques on his own and is based in Tokyo as a shoe artist. He has a strong interest in the symbolism, physicality, and design of sneakers, and creates works based on them. By reinterpreting sneakers from a unique point of view, such as shape, function, materials, manufacturing methods, usage methods, etc., we question the meaning inherent in sneakers that function as social devices in capitalism and consumer culture.
