Iwasawa Seiichi was born in 1963 in Miyagi
Advocating for new realism (contemporary realism). He pursues contemporary realistic expression by making full use of classical oil painting techniques, acrylic, mineral pigments, and other Japanese painting materials. They have presented contemporary themed works such as the “Ancient Age” series with mythology and female figures as motifs, the “Portrait at Nightfall” series, which drew female figures with unique forms and won the Kahoku Award at the Kahoku Art Exhibition, “Futari II,” which was selected for realistic expression at FACE 2021 famous for contemporary art contests, and “Elevator II,” which won the Associate Member Award at the 2023 Niki Exhibition.

Mainly mixed media such as oil, acrylic, mineral pigments, etc. on panels.
