I mainly create paintings and two-dimensional works, mainly oil paintings with human motifs. When I feel that a painting, which is simply a flat surface, has unique value, I think about what is the basis for that reality and work on it. By referring to inner senses through depiction and images, I think that it is possible to approach reality beyond matter and structure and the essence of painting, and I am working on the theme of depicting inner feelings such as loneliness, conflict, momentary and ambiguous emotions and fluctuations in identity in modern society as paintings with symbolic, captivating, and sensual expressions. In recent productions, I have been influenced by neutral and androgynous visual expressions, decorative costumes, and overly theatrical productions, etc. as seen in glam rock and Japanese visual bands, and I am searching for applications of these decorative and fictional properties to paintings, and I am also trying to depict figures as modern idols in paintings.
