【1968】Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts. BFA, sculpture course .
【1969】Received an award, first prize, at the 9th Contemporary Art Exhibition of Japan.
【1968-1970】Research student at the Ohtani Laboratory, Department of Urban Engineering, The
University of Tokyo.
【1970】Moved to the US, worked at David Specter Architect Office in NYC
Participated in over 70 solo and group exhibitions, including at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, with numerous catalogs featuring his work.

A trip to the ocean of fertility.
Aiming for self-realization, it seems natural that when you reach the age of 80, you will reach appropriate results and a degree of perfection through accumulation. However, as I am still developing, I am not aiming for completion, and I am repeatedly expressing a wide range of possibilities through trial and error. So I'm not going to narrow down the expressions.

【20世紀文明の化石】
都営大江戸線・清澄白河駅ホーム両側の壁のアートデザインは、「20世紀文明の化石」と題したものです。
作品の素材は、20世紀の高度経済成長期に、東京の産業地区である江東区でも多く生産されてきた各種の工業製品のスクラップを再利用（リサイクル）したものです。
表現している内容は、ビッグバンに始まる宇宙誕生、太陽系の形成、日本列島の誕生、日本の首都東京の進展、未来の展望などをイメージしています。

造形作家・樋口正一郎は60年以上にわたり作品を創り続けています。
今でも「概念」をやすやすと立体造形や抽象絵画に表現し、日本で初めてテレビを使用した展覧会を行ったり、ネオンや石膏、プラスティックを成型してつくった作品、木材や帆布、紙を使った造形など、さまざまな表現方法を追求してきました。80歳になった現在もその多彩な表現を探求し続けており、「非日常を創る」ことを日常生活の一環のように、楽しげに創作し続けており、そのリズムは止まることがありません。
彼にとって「創ること≒生活すること」なのです。
皆さまにはその多彩で変幻自在な画風や創作物をご覧いただきたいと思います。
