“Travelling Cypher - In the Unknown Valley” is a mixed media work using acrylic paint, calligraphy ink, stencils, collages, etc., and is one of a series of works depicting a mysterious cyber sci-fi style worldview.
Work details and techniques
Oriental inaction is placed at the center of the production process, taking advantage of the fluidity of drawing materials and indirect print expression using monotypes with stencils and decalcomanies not using a brush.
The motif, which looks like a cog wheel, is an image of a “dark machine/cypher” drawn by AI, and is collaged with transparent film.
The words “Grant us the wisdom of the traveler through time and space.” and the ancient adage “Though difficult, strive toward the stars.” were incorporated into part of the painting in Latin.
Framed with matting and acrylic. Black frame with decorative carvings is elegant.
The outer dimensions of the frame are 100 x 80.5 cm.
