The Dynamism of Lines, the Liberation of Form

This abstract work explores the inherent freedom and potential of the line. Through flowing curves and irregular forms, it gives visual expression to the movement and energy of life, pursuing organic forms that are not confined to any specific meaning or subject.

Beginning with the physicality and gestures of calligraphy, the work releases the line from the meaning and structure of written characters, allowing it to develop into a form of pure expression. The continuity of the curves, the overlapping forms, and their relationship to the surrounding negative space create a sense of movement and rhythm within a still image. This series marks a shift from lines used to write characters to lines expressed for their own sake.

Moving beyond lines used to form letters, I explore the movement and energy inherent in the line itself.
