In today's world, where anything can be perfectly replicated, everything has become replaceable, and the inherent value of individual things feels increasingly diluted. The theme of this work explores forms of existence that have become difficult to truly perceive, precisely because we live in an age where we can so easily satisfy the illusion of having seen whatever we wish to see.
I applied a mirror-like surface finish to this piece, allowing viewers to see their own reflections in the painting just as they would in a pane of glass. By introducing this "noise" between the viewer and the artwork, I aimed to express the visual experiences and modes of communication unique to our contemporary era—the sensation of believing we are looking directly at something, when in reality, we are observing it through a filter.
