This work was exhibited at the
Dogo Art 2023 Craft
Museum “U.F.O.- UNIDENTIFIED FABULOUS OBJECT - UNIDENTIFIED FABULOUS OBJECT” exhibition held in 2023-24.

In Soseki's novel “Botchan,” it appeared as a “steam train like a matchbox,” and since the main character, Bocchan, got on it, it came to be called the Bocchan Train. The model is a steam locomotive that was active for 67 years from Meiji 21, shortly after the opening of the Iyo Railway (now Iyotetsu Group), and it played an active role as a foot for the citizens of Matsuyama, contributing to the improvement of the region's economy, industry, and culture.

Along with the steam locomotive materials that appeared in the Iyo Tetsutetsu Electric 50 Year Book published in Showa 11, the changes of the times are expressed with the motif of the Bocchan train restored by diesel locomotive.
