日常にある使い古されたり役目を終えたように見えるものに、それらが存在していた場所の記憶風景と、その場所の土を埃のように堆積させる事で、それらのモノたちが内包していた時間を引き出すことを試みている。生き物がある時期に死を迎えるのと同様に、モノにも色々な要因で役割を終える時期が来る。それらのモノにはそれを使用してきた人や存在していた空間の記憶が 染み込んでいるのではないだろうか。古いものに出会った時にそのモノが持つ得体の知れない気配のようなものを感じることがある。消費社会のゴミになってしまったこれらのモノが秘めている何か大事なメッセージを聞き取ってみたい。

I create and present works on the theme of “Memories of the Land.” The “work that lifts the ground,” which is the main work, encourages people to think again about memories and events that lie dormant in that place by superimposing memories of that place on the strata accumulated there and showing those things that cannot normally be seen. When creating a work, I value local interviews and sort out my memories of that place by listening to various stories.
