I created the work with the desire to create a space of color by layering colors, just like creating a sound image by repeatedly superimposing sounds on top of sound.
It's a series of blue and green.
One day, when I was participating in an artist-in-residence in Visegrad, Bosnia, I was working in the cottage of the hotel where I was staying surrounded by mountains, and I was enveloped in an indescribable sound of echoes wonderful song from afar. I felt that the beautiful sound that inflated my imagination whose voice it was and that it was a shepherd's play without permission had come to me beyond the times and space.
It was the trigger for the production that I wanted to express it someday.

Linmay Komine is an artist living in Tokyo.
Born in 1958 in Fukushima. Graduated from Tama Art University oil painting department in 1981. Completed graduate school at the same university in 1983. Worked in the oil painting laboratory at the same university until 1987.
Linmay is pursuing the depth of color space, beauty of texture, flatness, and landscape.
He is also collaborating with music.
