Hiroyuki Agetsuma

Born in Yamagata Prefecture in 1978. Completed a master's degree in Intermedia Art at the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts in 2011. Studied at the Stuttgart State Academy of Art and Design in Germany from 2011–13. After working in Stuttgart, relocated to Berlin. Returned to Japan in 2022 and is currently based in Yamagata. Interested in existential aesthetics and the coincidence of things across simultaneity and different levels of time.
