Taichi Kondo is a contemporary artist whose work blends the influences of his Japanese-
Filipino heritage. His art explores themes of identity, duality, and cultural fusion, often
portrayed through the iconic character ‘Banananguin,
’ a hybrid of a banana and a penguin
figure that symbolizes his personal journey of acceptance and belonging. Kondo has
exhibited his work internationally, including in Japan and the Philippines, and is committed
to engaging the global community through his creative vision.
