Nyoman Sani
Artist
born in Bali, 1975.
Ni Nyoman Sani’s work Space, presented in ARTSUBS 2024, marks a significant turning point in her artistic journey since the mid-1990s. Deeply rooted in her experiences of living by the coast of Sanur, the piece reflects on her dialogue with the natural rhythms of life. For Sani, the relationship between macrocosm and microcosm, such as the sun’s eternal movement, serves as both a guiding presence and a source of contemplation. Within this perspective, she often returns to themes of women and their place within the vastness of the universe.
