Yui Samejima

People cannot see everything in the world directly and construct their own world based on fragmentary information obtained through their five senses. Based on the premise of the process of perception formed by such incomplete observation, I creates painting works as a device to show the “invisible existence” outside of the fragments.
　For me, creating a work of art is an act in which I, as an object, confirm the phenomenon that emerges through my subject. Through this phenomenology-based perspective, I would like to explore how people perceive the world and how they can approach things beyond the range of their perception.
