Painter

Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School of Oil Painting Techniques and Materials

[About the My work]

I paint on the theme of “Dreams Seen During Sleep.”

My paintings are created by collecting and reconstructing vague images and memories, sounds and air fluctuations, and colors and shapes created by chance. I think this process is similar to the origin of dreams seen during sleep.

Dreams seen during sleep can be an escape from reality for a while, and they also help us notice the reality of the present moment. I'm conscious of making pictures have that kind of effect.

One of the reasons I try to share my “dreams,” which are supposed to be personal, comes from the fact that I “recognized myself and others through pictures, and lived my life trying to have relationships with others.”

“People involved” often appear in my paintings, as if embodying my nature of having a strong interest and affinity for others and a desire to be involved with others.
