作品について
アポリナリアは、美術史やおとぎ話からインスピレーションを得て、奇妙で空想的な作品を制作している。現実と想像の境界を行き来するような作品は、強さと脆さ、悪夢と夢、個人的なものと政治的なもの、空想と現実といった、彼女の作品全体に存在する二面性を浮き彫りにしている。2年前からはトスカーナ地方の工房を拠点とし、イタリアの伝統的な技法を身につけている。
アートフェア東京2024のために彼女が制作した10体の作品は、日本のサブカルチャーに対する胸いっぱいの気持ちである。子供の頃から彼女を夢中にさせてきたのはスタジオジブリでありマッドハウスや様々な漫画であった。それらから彼女が何を受け取り、何を加えて、それはどのように変形し、次に何を伝えようとしているのか。10体の作品はそれを検証するものだ。
「ここ数年、私たちは複雑で、とても暗い世界に生きています。しかし、それでも皆、光を見つけようとしています。この10体の作品は、手塚治虫や宮崎駿といったアニメ界のレジェンドに強くインスパイアされたものです 。彼らの生み出したキャクターは 生きとし生けるものすべてに共通するような 、生命としての特別な才能があります。」

Born 1995, Moscow, Russia. After graduating from the Stroganov Academy of Art and Industry in Moscow, he moved to Paris, where he graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris and also studied art at the School of Art and Design in Los Angeles. Currently based in Paris and Pietrasanta (Italy), he works in bronze and ceramic and installations. He has held solo and group exhibitions in France, Brussels (Belgium), Pietrasanta (Italy), Moscow (Russia), Milan (Italy) and Los Angeles.In 2022, he will collaborate with the Swedish contemporary fashion house ACNE STUDIOS Studios' in collaboration with.
